Player B tells a story while Player A exhibits concurrent emotions related to the events of the story.
A player engages in a simple activity. When “Explore” is called out, the action being done is explored more deeply. When “Advance” is called, the action of the activity progresses. Exploring finds more details in the present moment, while advancing moves to a new action of the activity.
Play a scene until directed to “Go deeper.” Then explore the details, thoughts, and feelings related to the moment you are in. When directed to “Continue,” move ahead with the progression of the scene into the next moments.
Players play a scene that focuses only on the here and now. No referencing off-stage characters, No observing off-stage action.
A drill in which Player B makes random offers and Player A makes them relevant to either of their characters.
One or more players play a scene in which they ask the observers, “What happens next?” Someone tells them, then the players do that. Then the players ask what happens next again, the viewers tell them, and the players do that. This pattern continues until the scene is over.
