Radio delay

While listening to another player (or talk radio or a podcast), repeat the words that are spoken a few seconds after they’ve been said.

Variations

Telephone radio delay – Players stand in a circle. One player starts speaking and the player to the right repeats what is said. The next player to the right repeats what the second player says, and on and on around the circle. Eventually the person to the left of the first player speaks words which the first player repeats, and the words continue around the circle.

Notes

  • This exercise helps increase focus because you need to listen and speak at the same time.
  • Repeat the words with their original inflections.
  • Focus on listening while also speaking clearly.
