 » Cradled lullaby

Sitting comfortably on the floor, Player A holds Player B as one would hold a small child in their arms. Find the common breath and release into each other’s bodies. Player A gently rocks and strokes Player B, while singing an improvised gibberish lullaby. Finish in silence. Trade roles.

Notes

  • Partner up randomly. Gender doesn’t matter.
  • Both players should get totally physically comfortable before the lullaby begins. It helps if Player A has something to lean against.
  • This exercise is best done by the entire group simultaneously. There’s no need for an audience.
  • The exercise is sensual, not sexual. Think of it as the relationship between a parent and child, not one between lovers.
