One player makes an undefined offer. The other player responds with a defined offer that clarifies the undefined offer. Players take turns initiating and responding.

“I’m ready to do it.” “Great. You’re going to love scuba diving.”

Variations

Defined builds – After Player B defines the undefined offer, Player A adds further definition by building on Player B’s offer.

“If I didn’t try diving in the Bahamas, I know I’d regret it.”

Notes

• This exercise helps players feel when offers are undefined and practice making things specific.
• The exercise gets its name from the combination of undefined and defined offers.
