Scene timer

The Scene Timer is an app that tracks the duration of a scene and notifies players when the end of a scene is near. It’s much like the blinking red light that notifies stand-up comics when their set is almost done.

Here is how the Scene Timer works:

  1. The desired number of minutes is set for the scene.
  2. The start button is pressed to start the countdown.
  3. When two minutes are left, the screen turns solid red.
  4. When the scene time is reached, the screen blinks red, while continuing to track the time.
  5. When the scene ends, the stop button is pressed and the screen shows the total length of the scene.

This app is useful for training, rehearsals, and performances. It’s an unobtrusive way for players to know when to start wrapping up a scene and when it should be over.
