 » Wall crash

Two catchers stand at the far side of the room. With eyes closed, another player walks toward the catchers and is gently stopped before hitting the wall. The blind player opens eyes and takes the place of one of the catchers. The replaced catcher moves into the line of people who are waiting to cross the room.

Variations

Circle redirect – Players stand in a circle and a blind player moves within the circle. The circle of players redirect the blind player to another direction within the circle.

Rush hour – When the first blind player is halfway across the room, another blind player starts to move. (Don’t go faster than the person ahead is moving.)

Notes

  • Do this exercise on an even surface.
  • The blind player moves a little more quickly than is comfortable.
  • If the blind player slows down, go back to the start and maintain a consistent pace of travel.
  • When catching or redirecting the blind player, do so smoothly, not abruptly.
