 » Called hits

Two players play a scene. From time to time, an outside observer calls out, “Take the hit,” and the player who is about to respond makes a clear emotional shift to the offer that was just made.

Variations

Called emotions – Instead of calling “Take the hit,” call out the emotional hit to take.

Gimme Getter – Set the reps for one minute and the category to “Emotions,” then play a scene. When the Gimme Getter beeps, check the emotion and respond in that way.

Notes

  • When calling hits, look for offers that might not seem like they would cause an emotional response.
  • If calling emotions, vary between positive and negative valences.
