Players play a scene in which they must make physical contact with another player before they can speak.

Variations

Eye contact – In this version, eye contact counts as a form of contact.

Others touch – Players can only speak when someone else is touching them.

Notes

  • Non-verbal communication may be made without making contact.
  • Touch for a purpose. Justify why the contact is being made.
  • Vary the contact. Use all parts of the body.
  • Let the physical contact give rise to emotions.
  • This exercise moves relationships from verbal to physical.
