One thought, one sentence scene

Player B makes an offer. Player A responds with a single sentence, then waits for Player B to respond to that. This pattern continues through the whole scene.

Variations

Solo – Use the Gimme Getter to deliver a line of dialogue every twenty seconds. Respond with a single sentence and stay emotionally engaged in the silence that happens before the next line is delivered. Treat this as a drill. Don’t concern yourself with making all the lines fit within a unified scene.

Notes

  • This exercise doesn’t always produce a great scene, but it’s a good way to practice delivering information concisely.
