 » Concurrent emotion story

Player B tells a story while Player A exhibits concurrent emotions related to the events of the story.

Variations

Contrarian – Player A’s concurrent emotion is the opposite of how Player B appears to feel.

Dig deeper – Player A uses echo questions and observations to get Player B to share more details.

Non-concurrent – Player A waits until a thought is complete before exhibiting an emotional response. Consider how this feels different to Player B.

Notes

  • The story may be from real life or generated improvisationally.
  • Player A exhibits an emotional perspective before Player B has completed sharing the thought.
  • Player A shifts to a new emotional perspective with each step of the story.
  • Keep the emotional hits subtle.
