Thinkers do things “by the book.” They are most comfortable in the world of things that can be measured or quantified. The language of thinkers is full of numbers, measurements, facts and rules. Thinkers process ideas in a linear sequential progression that lead to logical conclusions.

Conroy is explaining why he’s with his girlfriend, Sonia. “She’s smart and clever. We understand each other and can talk about important ideas. We’ve been together for five years, so that’s a good indicator. I think we’re a good team, so it’s logical that we’re together.”

The counterpoint to the thinker is the feeler.
