Give and take

shifting focus back and forth between players

When playing a scene, focus shifts between players. One has focus, then another. This is give and take.

Good give and take creates room for other’s contributions. This is especially important when working with spects. If you don’t allow room for them to contribute, spects become observers instead of co-creators. If you have a tendency to talk a lot, try speaking in one thought, one sentence. This allows room for spects to contribute their own ideas and produces better give and take.
