Morgan’s first Fringe festival performance was in Edinburgh with SAK Theatre. One of the founders of SAK Comedy Lab, Morgan has also performed at Orlando Shakes (including favorite, Nicholas Nickleby), Orlando Fringe, and directed Interim by Edna St. Vincent Millay. She co-directed Shakespeare with Heart, performed Dickens By Candlelight, and developed SimuLife, StoryBox, and TeachLivE as part of the UCF iTeam. Morgan was a director at Mursion, a creative consultant and performer for Disney, WDI, Universal, and Impro Theatre, and currently works in immersive simulation with ETU. Favorite all time improvisers are her husband, Dave, daughter, Marina, and son, Walker.

Mike Carr is thrilled to be a part of this, or any, project that Jeff Wirth cooks up.  Mike is an actor and improviser based in Orlando it has worked for The Walt Disney Company, Universal Orlando, SAK Comedy Lab, and has performed in and taught at Improv festivals across the country. Mike is very excited at the potential of this project and cannot wait to see what we create together.

Marina Russell is an actor and improviser in Orlando, Florida. She played with Rollins Improv Players during her time at Rollins College, and participated in the SAK Comedy Lab Development Program. Marina plays with a variety of improv troupes, including The Corner Gallery, Happy to Be Here, and FLY, and she has performed in The Thursday Show at SAK and the Second Saturday improv show at the Orlando Public Library. Marina is grateful to her friends in the Orlando improv community for their support and creativity, and is thankful her family for their love and support through everything!

With over a decade of experience in the field of interactive simulation, Maria creates unique, immersive experiences engaging with her audiences. Interactive work has taken her love of  traditional theatre into unconventional locations, pushing the boundaries of what theatre can be. Maria is known for her ability to connect with audiences, inviting them to become an integral part of the experience. With her unique blend of creativity and technical expertise, Maria continues to push the envelope of interactive theatre, captivating audiences and inviting them to participate in the act of playful co-creation.

Mallory Ertel received her BFA in Theatre from West Virginia University. She performed professionally with WV Public Theatre in the roles of Philia in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and Inga in Young Frankenstein. Since moving to Florida, Mallory has performed in numerous shows at Penguin Point Productions, working with companies such as The Ensemble Company and Wildfire Players. She is a member of The Corner Gallery, a central Florida-based improv troupe. Her passion for improv led Mallory to meet her husband, and improv continues to be a big part of their lives.

Kate Ingraham, Ph.D. is a researcher at the Center for Education Simulation Technology (CREST) at the University of Central Florida. Her research interests include interactive performance through emerging technologies and the design of virtual characters for games and simulation. She has developed virtual characters and training scenarios for teachers, administrators, physicians, nurses, counselors, law enforcement officers, and middle school students across a wide range of research studies and funded projects.

John Connon is so jazzed to be a part of PhoneArt. He has been a professional improviser for nearly three decades. He began his career in atmosphere performance at Universal Studios Florida, then soon joined the cast of the Adventurer’s Club at WDW Pleasure Island.  He is a cast member of Joe’s NYC Bar, the long-running immersive, interactive, completely improvised theatrical experience, which has become a staple of the Orlando theatre scene. He performs and teaches improv regularly at SAK Comedy Lab as an Ensemble Member. He is now a member of the Show Direction Team of Universal Orlando Resort.

Gordon Adams has a BA in Communication and MS in Higher Education Student Personnel services. His professional passion is connecting with people, guiding them on paths of self-discovery, and helping them become the best versions of themselves. Gordon has appeared in commercials, short films, and has facilitated brainstorming workshops and  conference sessions. A trained improviser and inter-actor, he has worked with highly-skilled teams, utilizing interactive simulation to foster next level continuing education. His hobbies include singing and playing the piano. In all facets of life, Gordon encourages those that he works and plays to “Make it great!”

Chris Trovador is an award-winning Afro-Latino, Puerto Rican comedy writer and artist. He’s a five-time Upright Citizens Brigade Scholarship recipient, a two-time Emerging Content Creators Inclusion Initiative recipient, sponsored by NALIP and Warner Brothers Discovery. and three-time NBC/Second City Diversity Festival recipient. Chris has written, directed, and taught comedy/acting/storytelling at The Latinx Theater Alliance, The Second City, and The Finest City San Diego. He was part of the 2014 prestigious Second City’s Directors Program and created The Second City’s Hollywood’s first full Latinx ensemble comedy show. Chris continues to break barriers, through his writing, comedy, and art to help shine light on diverse stories.

Genevieve Bernard is a movement explorer who loves all types of movement: human movement, pedestrian movement, traffic movement, birds flocking, the movement of paint on paper. She’s obsessed with pathway, pattern and design and their intersections with movement. Working as a choreographer and arranging people in space influences her painting process. She has a master’s degree in dance education from Temple University in Philadelphia and has received awards and fellowships for her work. Locally she has participated in the Corridor Project, Walk On By, the TrIP Project, the In-Between Series, and was a curator for Art in Odd Places. Currently she studies painting and is Program Manager at Orlando Fringe.

Megan Markham (she/they) is an artist, poet, playwright, and actor living in Orlando with their wife, dog, and cats. Making theater and art with family and friends is what gets them through the days. She has written and performed full-length immersive theater, short plays, and everything in between. Their work has appeared in Coffee People Magazine, Nifty Lit, Prospectus, and Rainbow Poems. You can see her in the show, The War here at Orlando Fringe outside of OMA.

Yanely is a Cuban-American born and raised in South Florida. From an early age she’s been fascinated with storytelling and character design, from complex fantasy adventure stories to simple vignette illustrations. Her love of color, florals, and fantasy has shaped her artwork. Her education as an interdisciplinary student was composed of two fields of study, art and communications. Having graduated from UCF in the midst of lockdown, Yanely has been able to apply those skills of artistic design and effective communication to the Orlando Fringe and continues to Illustrate fantastical stories in her own time.

Jeff Wirth

Jeff Wirth is the director of the Interactive PlayLab, a training and research lab for live interactive performance experiences. Jeff has consulted for Cirque du Soleil, Blue Man Group, and Disney Imagineering, and served on the faculty of the University of Central Florida for 10 years.  He wrote the book, Interactive Acting and has created over 100 interactive performances.  Jeff’s eclectic background includes ballroom dancing, computer programming, and clowning for the Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus.
