Exercises

Player A secretly comes up with something for Player B to do. Then they play a scene in which Player A backleads Player B to do that thing without instructing them. When Player B does what was backled, Player A gives a stroke and the scene is over.

Topics
making an offer without external support or prompting

When you initiate, you give the spect something to respond to. This helps at the beginning of a story, when spects are more comfortable responding than initiating.

Topics
giving excessive positive reinforcement

It’s good to reward spects with strokes when they exhibit desired behaviors, but beware of over-stroking. When strokes are too big, they feel fake. Keep strokes real and genuine or spects will feel like you’re patronizing them.
