When playing a scenario, there are narrative elements that need to be true for the story to work. These are locked elements.
There are times when you need to incorporate a story element with the moment at hand. It could be anything—an offer from the spect, a critical plot point, an important line of dialogue. Whatever the case, when you connect a story element with whatever is going on, that’s merging.
A scenario is like a set of monkey bars. It gives you something solid to hang onto while allowing room to play in the spaces between. Everything from a single-scene vignette to a multi-scene SimuLife uses a scenario as a script.
